Snow Trails TV Utah Video

Recently, the Utah Snowmobile Association, in association with Snow Trails TV and numerous community partners has developed a television segment that will focus around the primary goal of showcasing where the opportunities exist for great snowmobiling experiences in Utah and good destination points with related facilities.

The project will result in a 16-minute segment that will be aired on Destination America (an American Lifestyle Network owned by Discovery Networks). It will be aired twice during the 13-week period of the 2016 broadcast season (October through December). The Destination America Channel is received in over 65 million TV households throughout North America. It can specifically be viewed in all of the Snow Belt states on Cable, Dish Network
and Direct TV.

Many thanks goes out to all the volunteers and generous sponsors who made this production a huge success!

Below is the main footage that was filmed in Utah to be included into the 30 minute production.

Wolf Creek Pass Closed

S.R. 35 Wolf Creek Pass Closed to Vehicles for Winter Season
Utah Division of Parks and Recreation will Maintain Snowmobile Trail until Spring

OREM, Utah – The Utah Department of Transportation closed State Route 35 at Wolf Creek Pass today for the winter. Winter maintenance was discontinued last week and the road is now formally closed. U.S. 40 is the suggested route for travelers who have been using S.R. 35.

As part of the seasonal closure, UDOT has notified the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation (DPR) that they may begin snowmobile trail grooming operations. DPR will maintain a groomed snowmobile trail until spring of 2016. The trail grooming is part of an ongoing program, operated by DPR, designed to provide snowmobilers access to the Soapstone area and other popular backcountry riding areas.

For more information from DPR, please call (801) 538-RIDE or visit ohv.utah.gov. For more information about road and traffic conditions, download the UDOT Traffic app available for free in iTunes or Google Play.
