Grooming up date for Mirror Lake /Mill Hollow 02/22/2012
As of February 22 the snow condition Improved over this past week we had a few small storms pass by leaving about two feet on new snow on the top. There has been some wind with some new drifts. On top there is about four feet of snow with about one foot at the trailheads. The trails are in Fair shape. This week we are a little off track with our grooming schedule. We groomed Monday Soapstone to Mill Hollow to Lake Creek summit down to Nobblets, Wednesday groomed soapstone to wolf creek summit to Hanna trail head, Thursday Mirror Lake, and Friday and Saturday Soapstone to Lake creek and Nobblets. Watch out for danger while riding. With the new snow the Avalanche danger is still moderate to High. Make sure you are wearing a beacon. Ride safe and enjoy the snow.
You can find a copy of our grooming schedule on this website at http://www.snowut.org/mirrorlkmillh.htm that you can print out. Remember that all our runs are done at night but we may be on the trail at any time so ride under control at all times.
Remember to go out prepared including survival and avalanche gear. Check on the avalanche conditions by calling 1-800-OHV-RIDE or www.avalanche.org/~uac/. Ride safe and we will see you on the trails!!!
