Grooming operations are getting close to starting.  Currently the roads at East Park, Taylor Mountain and Dry Fork have been closed by the Forest Service.  Uintah County is in the process of hiring a part-time snow cat operator for the complex.  Grooming operations will begin when the operator is hired, trained and enough snow has fallen as to not damage the snow cat.  There is currently about 7 inches of snow at each of the trailheads.

As a reminder, now is a great time to get your snowmobile riders , who are under 16, through the safety course that is required by law.  The safety course can be taken at www.stateparks.utah.gov.
