Grooming Report for 3/6/14

Groomed Mirror Lake Hwy today up to Murdock Basin turnoff. Trail was in great shape and there was no need to waste fuel, especially with the snow storm predicted for today and tomorrow. These warm temperatures are making it very difficult to groom as the snow just wants to ball up in front of the blade and not cut and fill like it should. Therefore the trails are a little rough. What we need is a couple days of cold weather and the Mogul Master and then we can knock down the bumps. Avalanche danger is a follows:

BOTTOM LINE

While not widespread, above treeline in the wind zone, a CONSIDERABLE danger exists and human triggered avalanches are probable on all steep, wind drifted slopes, particularly those facing the north half of the compass. Once triggered, today's avalanches can break deep and wide, creating a very dangerous slide.

Strong sunshine will increase the avalanche danger to MODERATE during the heat of the day and human triggered avalanches will become possible on steep sun exposed slopes as the snow starts to bake.

Our Schedule this week will be:

Thursday- Hwy 150 from Soapstone to Mirror Lake

Friday and Saturday- Soapstone, Hwy 35 from Soapstone to Mill Hollow, Mill Hollow, Lake Creek

Monday- Soapstone, Cold Springs, Hwy 35.

Remember to ride safe and be prepared for all conditions. Day time temperatures may be in the 40s but drop well into single digits at night so always carry your survival gear. Be Safe.

Amazing article, very informative and useful. It also remind me that winter is soon and I will be able to get in the mountains with friends. It is also time to visit https://hireessaywriter.org/ writing service, as academic year is in full swing.
