Avalanche danger

While the avalanche danger is generally LOW, pockets of MODERATE avalanche danger exist on steep, upper elevation, leeward slopes, especially those facing the north half of the compass. Yes... it's becoming more the exception than the rule, but any avalanche that fails on weak, sugary snow near the ground, has the potential to break deeper and wider than you might expect.

Make sure your sleds are properly equipped for the season, REGISTERED and decals are displayed properly.  Be sure to put a copy of the registration somewhere on your sled while you operate and transport them.

Anyone (Utah resident or non-resident) between the age of 8 and 15 must possess Utah Safety Certificate to operate a snowmobile, ATV, or Motorcycle in Utah. To sign up for a classes at www.stateparks.utah.gov/ohv

Remember No Wheeled Vehicles Over 800 LBS on any of the groomed trails in Utah.

Be aware of UNMARKED HAZARDS.

You can find a copy of our grooming schedule at Snowut. Remember that our runs are done at during the day and night so we may be on the trail at any time so ride under control at all times.

Always make sure you are aware of the Avalanche danger.  Make sure you are wearing a beacon at all times. Remember to go out prepared including survival and avalanche gear. Check on the avalanche conditions by going to Utah Avalanche Center or Avalanche.

ALWAYS make sure you let someone know where you will be riding and when you will return.

Ride safe and enjoy the snow and we will see you on the trails!!!

The avalanche is fully covered with snow and I have seen many photos at www.topamericanwriters.com. I really like the place very much, but this place is very dangerous one to visit. The temperature changes rapidly in this place.
