Grooming Report 12/1/2014

As of today 12/1/2014 we have not received enough snow to begin our grooming operation. We need to have at least 24 inches of snow to begin grooming. We have been out putting up snow poles to mark the trails and are getting excited for the grooming to begin. Check back often for updates.

End of grooming Season for Ephraim Manti and twelve mile

Grooming for Ephraim Manti and Twelve mile has come to an end.  The weather has not cooperated with us much this season.  At this time we will not be doing any more grooming until next season.  Enjoy the snow that is there and lets hope for conitued snow in the higher elevations for you to enjoy.

Grooming Report 2/11/14

Ephraim Canyon was groomed on 2/11/14 all the way to Skyline Drive.  There was about a foot of new snow from the last time it was groomed.  There was an avalanche just up canyon from Bluebell that covered the trail.  I was able to groom past it but it left the trail a little rough in that spot.  So slow down and use caution in that area.  The snow is very unstable right now and there is a very high avalanche danger.  Use caution when riding anywhere in the Manti-Skyline area.  To get current avalanche conditions visit the website of the Utah Avalanche Center at utahavalanchecenter.org  Also to remember to wear your beacon and know how to use it when out riding.  Be safe out there.

Here are a few pictures of the avalanche

2-10-2014

On 2-10-2014 and 2-5-2014 grooming was done up Twelve Mile.  As of 2-10 there was approximately 24 inches of fresh snow that was being pushed by the snowcat.  Snow conditions are considerably better than last week.  There is not much riding pressure, so there is plenty of untouched areas to play.  Be careful though as avalanche dangers are still very high.

Grooming Report 2/5/2014

We were able to go out grooming yesterday! On 2/4/2014 Ephraim Canyon was groomed up to Philadelphia Flats. There was about 4-5 feet of snow and it was snowing the whole time that I was grooming. Even with the new snow the level is still pretty low, especaially for this time of year, so be care and watch out for unseen hazards like rocks. The groomer is out today 2/5/2014 grooming 12 mile canyon and we will update this report when grooming is done to get you conditions in 12 Mile canyon. Be safe and have fun out there.

Grooming Report 3/18/13

Well it looks like our grooming season has come to an end.  There is not enough snow on the lower elevations to make it possible to groom.  But it has been a good season and hopefully we did a good job this year grooming the trails.  Looking forward to getting back to it again next year.  Until then be safe and see you back here next year.

Thanks!!
