Normal Weekly Grooming Schedule

Our goal is to groom trails on each mountain weekly. However weather, snow conditions, logistics, etc. frequently cause variability in the miles of trails groomed and may shift the day grooming occurs. Fishlake grooming schedule is subject to change.

On 3/3/2012 Fish Lake was groomed from Bowery Haven north towards Gooseberry. We could only get to just south of the pass due to an uphill grade with a large drift. The snow cat could not get through it, so we returned to Bowery Haven.

On 3/4/2012 we attempted to groom Monroe Mountain starting from Koosharem. Shortly after unloading the snow cat, the left track locked up and would not move. The snow cat is currently in the shop for repairs.

We will keep you informed as to when we get the repairs done.

Grooming Report 2/26/2012

All trail heads have minimal snow. We will try to track up to deeper snow for grooming.

We hit a deer with our truck while towing the snowcat. The truck is out for repairs.

We will keep you informed as to our grooming efforts.

I checked the trail heads today and here is what I found.

City Creek out of Junction has 2-3 inches of snow with vehicular and ATV tracks going up the trail.

Koosharem has 2-3 inches of snow with vehicular and ATV tracks going up the trail.

Bowery Haven at Fish Lake: The road to Seven mile has 1-2 inches of wind swept snow with bare spots. I was told by some folks that Seven mile has more snow but is also wind swept. Fish Lake has open water north of Fish Lake Lodge.

Gooseberry has 3-4 inches of packed snow with snow mobile tracks going up the trail.

Sand Ledges has 2-3 inches of snow with vehicular and ATV tracks going up the trail.

Monrovian Park has 2-3 inches of snow.

Until we get more snow at these lower elevations we cannot safely groom without damage to the snow cat.
