Gooseberry 1/30/2017

On 1/30/2017, Grooming was done from the Gooseberry trailhead to Fishlake.  The snow conditions are really shaping up well in the area.  We have spent a lot of time at the top of the switchbacks at the top to help with the drifting but please be careful in that area as it continues to drift and create drop-offs there so just watch for that.  Enjoy your rides!  It is a great year to have a sled!

Gooseberry 1/23/2017

We groomed Gooseberry on 1/23/17 from the gooseberry trailhead to the lost creek overlook.  There is a lot of new snow with these last few storms.  There is over two feet of new powder in places.  This is a great time to ride.  We continue to advise of the avalanche dangers and encourage you all to wear beacons and remember to check if they are on and have enough battery.  There is a beacon check station at the Gooseberry trailhead, please check that you are beeping.

Gooseberry 1/09/2017

Gooseberry has been groomed for the second time this season on 1/9/2017.  Snow in the mid elevation is great and the riding in this are is great.  There is a ton of blowing snow on top so be careful of drifting.  The very top has several places where the snow has blown off the road.  Many of the places protected from the wind has great snow but be careful of cornices on the ridges near these areas.  Avalanche dangers are going up so please be careful and wear a beacon.  It could save your life.

Beaver and Monroe Groomed

We were able to go out and groom both Monroe Mountain and Beaver Mountain this last Saturday and Sunday. Deep powder on both mountains and conditions are really great. Looks like more snow is headed our way. We will typically groom these mountains on Saturday and Sunday evenings but our schedule is subject to change.

Gooseberry Groomed 12/30/2015

We groomed the Gooseberry on 12/30/2015.  We groomed the trail from Fishlake to the Gooseberry trailhead.  The snow was in very good shape.  It is shaping up nicely.  Wind has blown the snow around on top quite a bit but it is looking like a great year up here.
