Grooming Report 2/5/2014

We were able to go out grooming yesterday! On 2/4/2014 Ephraim Canyon was groomed up to Philadelphia Flats. There was about 4-5 feet of snow and it was snowing the whole time that I was grooming. Even with the new snow the level is still pretty low, especaially for this time of year, so be care and watch out for unseen hazards like rocks. The groomer is out today 2/5/2014 grooming 12 mile canyon and we will update this report when grooming is done to get you conditions in 12 Mile canyon. Be safe and have fun out there.

preperations for grooming

As of November 26th, 2013 there is not enough snow to do any sort of grooming yet but the trails have been marked and are ready for the snow.  Vehicle access on skyline is still possible in most places.  Stay tuned for another update in the first half of December.

Thanks

Grooming Report 3/18/13

Well it looks like our grooming season has come to an end.  There is not enough snow on the lower elevations to make it possible to groom.  But it has been a good season and hopefully we did a good job this year grooming the trails.  Looking forward to getting back to it again next year.  Until then be safe and see you back here next year.

Thanks!!

Grooming Report 3/7/2013

We were able to go out and groom some of our trails.

Ephraim was groomed on Tuesday.  The trail is is pretty good shape.  There was about 1 inch of new snow on top.

12 Mile Canyon was groomed on Wednesday.  The trail on the lower sections is not looking to good.  On the switchbacks there are a few bare spots with no snow on them.  But once you get up to the higher elevations the trail is in really good shape.  There was at least an inch of new snow on the top.

Depending on the snow that the next storm brings we may or may not be grooming next week and if you do not get anymore snow we may be done because of lack of snow on the lower parts of the trail.  If things change we will be updating on here so check back soon and check back often.

Be safe and enjoy the snow before it is all gone.  Remember to bring the right gear and equipment for all conditions.

Thanks

Grooming Report 3/4/2013

We will be grooming this week.  Tuesday we will be grooming Ephraim Canyon and Wednesday we will be grooming 12 Mile canyon.

Remember to use caution and know the avalanche dangers.  There was an avalanche last weekend and so the danger maybe high.  Go to http://utahavalanchecenter.org/advisory/skyline#advanced to check the current avalance conditions.

Grooming Report 2/12/13

Grooming has been done this week in both Ephraim Canyon and 12 Mile Canyon.  Ephraim was groomed on Monday the 11th.  The trail is in really good shape.  There was 1.5 feet to 2 feet of new snow on top and it is really powdery snow which should be really good to ride in.  It was also snowing most of the time while grooming the trail so there could be even more new snow.  12 Mile was groomed Tuesday the 12th.  This trail is also in really good shape.  There was a least 1.5 feet if not more of new snow on top.  Off trail the snow looks really good to ride in and most of the rocks are now covered but still use caution when riding off trail.

We will be grooming again on Monday and Tuesday of next week unless there are any problems.  So check back.

Thanks
