Currently there is not enough snow for us to groom. We will begin doing so when there is enough snow to where the snowcat is not taking a beating.

Grooming Report for 11/20/2011

As of November 20, 2011 there is 21" of snow at Dry Bread Pond and 25" at Monte Cristo.

UDOT closed SR-39, at the monte cristo parking lot, on November 15. There is about 14 inches of snow in the parking lot. Currently the snow cat is not in operation. Grooming runs will begin when enough snow has accumulated as to not damage the snow cat.

The avalanche condition is considerable so be safe in the backcountry. The fee schedule for the parking lot is $5.00 per day or a season pass can be purchased for $40.00 through December 31, 2011. On January 1, 2012 the season pass can be purchased for $50.

We encourage you to obtain an avalanche advisory before venturing out into the backcountry. Also be prepared with the appropriate avalanche gear and training. If you have snowmobile riders under the age of 16 , the snowmobile safety course, required by law, can be taken on line at www.stateparks.utah.gov.
