In addition to all the new sleds on display and the multitude of vendors and businesses to visit, USA will once again be holding its silent auction fundraiser. We have some great snowmobile related apparel, gear, parts and vacation packages to auction off this year. So make sure to stop by the table and see what we have to offer. We might have exactly what you are looking for at a great price.

New this year, we will be holding a drawing at the conclusion of the show on Saturday night for the following great prizes:

cost is $25.00 to place it in the sled line. Space is limited and will be
offered on a first come first served basis, therefore we encourage you to
pre-register.

Also, if you purchase a 10 x 10 area you will get two free tickets for entrance to the show. If you purchase a sled line space, you will receive one free ticket to the show. Utah Snowmobile Association members will receive half of pricing for the swap meet.

USA Ride

USA RIDE

On Saturday March 9th, the Utah Snowmobile Association put on a ride and dinner for all USA members. We had a really good turnout for both the ride and dinner. We meet at the Strawberry Visitors trailhead where we divided up into two riding groups. Both groups had a really good ride and we want to thank those who volunteered to lead the rides.

After the ride we meet at the Chalet in Midway for a great spaghetti dinner and some good conversation and story telling. We also had a raffle of some good door prizes. Once again we want to thanks those who helped with the dinner. We had such a good time we can’t wait to do it again next year and we want to thank all those who participated.

Uintah Basin Complex down for the season

The snowcat was last out on the week of 02-13-13.  Red Cloud loop was groomed with conditions as fair to poor.

As of 03-21-2013 grooming has stopped due to low snow.  Thanks to the Uintah Basin Volunteers for keeping

the snowgrooming going in the Uinath Basin. See you next year!

Grooming completed

Wasatch Mtn is finished grooming.  The conditions were such that we couldn't justify walking the snowcat up dirt for a mile to get to snow.  People are still riding in Snake Creek, but having to chase the snow up the road.  All the other trailheads have dirt and are not accessable.  We did receive about 2 inches at Mill Flat Trailhead this morning.

March 4, 2013

Chalk Creek to Whitney Guard Station was groomed Friday February 22. Snow conditions are poor from the gas plant to the top of the dug way. From this point to the Guard Station there is some powder. Be cautious in the lower levels with the warmer wether and rain, there are some dry spots. Rocks and brush are still a hazard. Grooming will only be done if conditions permit. There are lots of woops be carefull.

Grooming Report

The snow cat was broke down last week so we appologize for the trails.  The cat went out last night and has groomed Snake Creek, to the narrows in AF canyon, and to Cascade Springs.  We haven't been down to Tibble Fork, Pine Hollow or the alpine loop due to lack of snow and warm temperatures.  Pine Canyon has no snow at the trailhead.  Cascade trailhead is limited as well.  We received rain all day yesterday below about 7,000 feet which didn't help our trailheads.  Mill Flat received some snow yesterday and is your best option for snow.  We will monitor the snow and our grooming operation from day to day.

USA Ride

The Utah Snowmobile Association will be hosting a ride for USA members at the Wasatch Mountain State Park on March 9th.  The ride will depart from the Cascade Springs trailhead at approximately 9:30 a.m. There will be two different rides available to choose from. After the ride, we will all meet at the State Parks Chalet that is located near the trailhead.  At the Chalet, we will be serving a free spaghetti dinner to include a salad, rolls, drinks and desert.  We will have some great door prizes to be given away as well.  So mark your calendar and come out to Wasatch Mountain on March 9th for an event that is sure to be a good time.  Please RSVP by logging into the members only section of this website or contact Russ Mangone at 801-969-7335 or at slvsnow@gmail.com
