Feb 7, 2014 Grooming Report

We are receiving some great snow today and it is continuing to snow hard tonight. On Wednesday we groomed over to Tibble Fork for the first time and up to Silver Lake. The cat is headed back over there tonight as we speak. We will be grooming over to Soldier Hollow tomorrow night and then complete the Alpine Loop on Sunday night. With the new snow it has allowed us to get out and open up some of these areas again. Due to the deep snow, avalanche danger is going to be extremely high this week. Use great caution and enjoy the new powder.

Grooming Report as of 1/14/14

The snow cat groomed the Cummings Parkway, Snake Creek and Soldier Hollow on Monday.  It groomed down to Aspen Grove and not quite to Pine Hollow due to lack of snow.  We won't groom the areas unless we feel we have enough snow to not damage the snow cat.  It will be going out on Thursday night to go through the narrows and down AF canyon to as far as the snow will allow.  Pine canyon has been groomed as well.  The snow is about 3' deep in the Snake Creek drainage.  The southern end of the complex is much less than that.

Grooming Report Jan 9, 2014

We have finally started getting some snow and have started limited grooming runs starting yesterday. Today I groomed up Snake Creek and across to the south end of cummings parkway which is above Soldier Hollow. It was snowing hard the entire day. As of noon today there was 2.5 feet of snow at the Snake Creek and Cummings Parkway intersection. There is 2 feet at the Mill Flat trailhead in Snake Creek. Our lower elevations were receiving snow which is much needed, but not enough to take the cat down to many of these lower trailheads. The cat will go out tonight and groom over to AF canyon and turn around at the narrows. We will guage the snow levels and when there is enough to groom, we will continue expanding the runs into the other areas. We have a new cat this season so be patient as our operators learn the intricacies of it.

Grooming Report 12/20/13

December 20th Grooming Report
The Wasatch back didn't get as much snow as even Salt Lake did during the storm the last two days. Mill Flat Trailhead in Snake Creek received maybe 4 inches and is sitting at 1' of snow today. The Forest Service in American Fork Canyon reported only receiving rain from the storm. They only had 6 inches as of Saturday with no new snow to report. I'm unsure right now how much we received on top but I'll find that out tomorrow when I ride. We are still not grooming as we don't have enough snow. When I rode on Saturday there was only 16" on top of Pole line pass. Keep checking back with us.
