Sure i bet most people doesn't even know what "cloud computing" is, but i was excited to see what was this about, and i just view a proxy server, they didn't tell nothing about the power/control they have over their users, they could block/modify any content and the users will never know! scary thing...

The main advantage of Silk over another web accelerator is that it's optimizing pages for a specific platform, and Amazon's cloud infrastructure which, aside from being a buzzword, is a very robust system that will undoubtedly scale better than existing web accelerators like Opera Turbo. The improvement is admittedly incremental, but calling it "just a proxy server" is simply not accurate.
